Amy Loveland joined Grace Early Childhood Care and Education Center in July 2023, following nine years of leadership in the Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools early childhood department. Her career began in Blue Valley where she taught early childhood special education.

Ms. Amy grew up in Lawrence, Kansas where her parents and in-laws still live.  She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in Human Development with a specialization in Early Childhood Education. She then went on to earn a master's degree from KU in Special Education, again specializing in Early Childhood. After a decade of teaching, Ms. Amy earned a second master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Pittsburg State University in 2012.

When joining Belton Schools, Ms. Amy was most excited about the district's commitment to strong social-emotional learning supports, including Conscious Discipline.  While in KCKPS, she earned recognition for establishing a positive climate and culture in her school building. Ms. Amy believes all children need and deserve quality teachers, and believes that strong and supportive principals are the best way to grow and maintain excellent teachers.  Being the Safekeeper of the Grace School Family is an honor and privilege!

When not at Grace, Ms. Amy spends her free time with her family, including her husband, Doug, and their four children, often watching the girls' softball games.
